A small subset of users have experienced issues when performing an upgrade to their Kevo2 Smart Lock where the upgrade progress stalls at 0% and then reports an upgrade failure.
Upgrade progress does not advance beyond 0% and an “Update Failed” message is displayed.
The communication between your phone and the Kevo is “timing out” before the upgrade process begins.
Immediately after pressing the button on your Kevo to start the upgrade process, tap the rose as if you were performing a Touch-To-Open. Your touch on the rose will prevent the “timeout” issue.
